The family business Schemmann was founded in 1927 in Bad Salzuflen by Rudolf Schemmann. The store, with its own hollow grinding shop, has been located in the city center ever since. In 1993, master cutler Matthias Herlitzius took over the business in the third generation and expanded it to include online retail in 2000. Since 2008 and 2017, his daughters, business economist Marie Brandes and e-commerce specialist Sophie Herlitzius, have strengthened the company.
Our main activities are advising, selling, and caring for high-quality cutting tools such as knives and scissors, as well as online retail.
