Markus Pape, a skilled chef with roots in the picturesque Sauerland, draws inspiration from the hearty dishes of his childhood. Shaped by the lovingly prepared pea soups and apple pancakes of his grandmother, who used produce from the family garden, he developed a deep appreciation for the culinary treasures of the garden.
Markus perfected his craft in renowned kitchens, including the Hotel zur Post and under the guidance of acclaimed chefs Jean-Claude Bourgueil and Dieter Müller, who provided him with the tools for his culinary career.
Since 2014, Chef Pape has been responsible for the culinary delights at Meisenheimer Hof. There, he celebrates regional cuisine and honors his grandmother's traditions by indulging his guests with local delicacies - a tribute to the simple yet rich flavors of his childhood.
