Since 2010, the Austrian has been at the helm of the traditional Austrian restaurant. He earned his first Michelin star there in 2011. After he and his partner Jeannine Kessler took over the restaurant in 2014, they and their team celebrated their second star in November 2015. Since then, the trained hotel manager has been running the business. In addition to their restaurant, both have been co-initiators of the non-profit association "Die Gemeinschaft" since 2016, advocating for responsible use of food and its producers.

Enclosed by a garden fence adorned with grapevines, the restaurant is located in the vibrant heart of Kreuzberg, directly on the Landwehr Canal. Here, Sebastian Frank, together with his team, creates culinary masterpieces that capture the essence of Austrian country cuisine. During an extensive renovation in 2021, both the dining rooms and the kitchen were redesigned. A previously hidden mural by Jim Avignon was uncovered and even expanded by the artist himself. Even in earlier days of exile, the symbiosis of art and culinary delights was central. The wood paneling and soft candlelight in the front area of the restaurant create a cozy atmosphere. This understated elegance of the Michelin-starred restaurant creates an exciting contrast to the unique, high-class explosions of flavor served here.
